Choose "Custom Install - Driver Only".
For 2000/XP:
you must have "Administrator" privileges for both install and use scanner, scanner must be turned ON and READY before boot-on computer. See for additional patch (with INF-files and instructions about manual installation) if computer will not detect scanner properly
